Urgent water restrictions are in place for the Highfields, Kleinton and Meringandan areas.
Following high water usage over the past few hot days, Toowoomba Regional Council Deputy Mayor and Water and Waste Committee Chair Cr Rebecca Vonhoff said Council was urging residents to conserve water wherever possible.
“We need our residents in these areas to reduce their water use immediately,” Cr Vonhoff said.
“Please stop all forms of outdoor water use and conserve water any way you can.
“The demand on our network is exceeding our supply, which isn’t allowing our reservoirs to replenish the way they need to.”
Cr Vonhoff said residents would be updated if the situation changed.
