Use of Certain Point of Care Test Direction, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Use of Certain Point of Care Test) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 revokes the (Prohibition of certain point of care tests 3) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This came into effect at 6:32pm on 23 December 2021.

Rapid Antigen Tests are now available to members of the public to use in South Australia.

However, if a person receives a positive test result from a Rapid Antigen Test, they must obtain a PCR COVID-19 test from an approved pathology provider and quarantine until negative result.
