Successful applicants will contribute significantly towards our regulatory functions by providing independent expert advice on matters across a broad spectrum of issues relating to medicines, medical devices, vaccines, and other products and substances. Appointments and remuneration
The Minister for Health and Aged Care appoints statutory advisory committee members. The term of appointment is up to three years. The sitting fee for members is in accordance with the latest Remuneration Tribunal (Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Part-time Public Office) Determination.
Committee appointments are not full-time positions. The table below shows the expected number of meetings per year for each committee.

Your application should be submitted via the Department of Health and Aged Care jobs list.
Applications must be received by 11.30pm, Sunday 26 May 2024.
Applications should include:
- a cover letter outlining your relevant expertise (limit 1 page)
- indication of the committees you would like to be involved in
- a current curriculum vitae
- a short biography (no more than 150 words), outlining your relevant field of expertise for membership of your nominated committee(s). If appointed, a short biography will be published on the TGA website.
- a fully completed and signed ‘Declaration of interest in support of application for membership of a TGA expert advisory committee‘
