Vaccination Status now available on Cross Border form, South Australia

Essential Travellers required to show evidence of at having received at least one does of a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccination by early October can now submit their evidence online.

Evidence includes a copy of any document provided to you by your health care worker at the time of your immunisation, or the Medicare certificate for those fully vaccinated.

Commercial Transport and Freight Workers entering South Australia by road who have been in NSW, Victoria or ACT in the last 14 days prior to their arrival must provide evidence of vaccination if arriving after 12.01 am on Thursday, 7 October.

Other categories of Essential Traveller who have been in NSW, Victoria or ACT in the 14 days prior to arrival (namely National and State Security and Governance, Emergency Services Workers, Remote or Isolated Worker, Specialist Workers in Essential Sectors, Passing Through, and Foreign Diplomatic or Consular Staff) must provide evidence of having received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination if arriving after 12.01 am on Monday, 11 October.

Those with a current Essential Traveller Cross Border permit are encouraged to email evidence of their vaccination to SAPOL’s Central Assessment Unit now (via the following address: [email protected]) so as to avoid delays that may be caused by having to produce it at the time of their arrival. The traveller’s Cross Border Permit will then be updated, with no requirement to produce the evidence on a subsequent arrival if travelling on the same permit.

If a traveller’s current Cross Border Travel permit expires, evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status can be submitted online when making a new registration via SAPOL’s Cross Border Travel Registration at police.sa.gov.au/online-services/cross-border-travel-application
