The Territory Labor Government’s has delivered on a record of achievement with more than half a million doses administered since the vaccine rollout launched one year ago.
Key milestones include a double dose vaccination rate of more than 95%, a booster dose rate of greater than 45 per cent and a first dose rate of more than 50% for kids aged 5-11.
Other significant achievements include:
– 511,000 doses administered
– More than 86,000 booster doses administered
– Almost 80 per cent of 12 to 15 year-olds have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
NT Health vaccination teams are continuing to visit remote communities to administer doses including boosters and paediatric vaccines.
Today also marks another step forward in the rollout with Novavax becoming the fourth TGA approved vaccine to be administered in the Territory.
This means Territorians who have not yet been vaccinated have more options to better protect themselves, their families and their communities from COVID-19.
Novavax appointments are available at select GPs, pharmacies and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
