Media Statement – Veolia Woodlawn Advanced Energy Recovery Centre

An Extraordinary Meeting of Council has been scheduled to be held at 6.00pm on Tuesday 29th November 2022 at the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Civic Centre, 184 Bourke Street, Goulburn.

The purpose of the Extraordinary Meeting is for Council to consider its submission to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment in relation to the Veolia Woodlawn Advanced Energy Recovery Centre (SSD-21184278) that is proposed to be constructed and operated at the Woodlawn Eco-Precinct located at 619 Collector Road, Tarago. The proposal is for an energy recovery facility with a capacity to thermally treat up to 380,000 tpa of residual municipal solid waste and commercial & industrial waste, and to generate approximately 39 MW of electrical energy.

Council has been provided with Community Guides that are available to be viewed at Councils Customer Service Desk.

Council encourages residents to make submissions through the NSW Planning Portal.
