Victoria’s decision to mandate vaccination for transport workers has put it out of step with other jurisdictions and may create difficulties for truck drivers operating across borders.
NatRoad’s advice to members generally is that they need to comply with laws and regulations of jurisdictions in which they operate.
Victorian employers need to be aware that they have health and safety obligations in the workplace and these extend to workers and other people present. Complying with state health orders may require having a COVID-safe plan in place and consulting with employees.
