Victoria name Marsh Cup squad to face WA

Victoria have named a 13-player squad to take on Western Australia in the Marsh One-Day Cup at the CitiPower Centre following their drawn Sheffield Shield fixture.

Peter Handscomb will lead the side off the back of his career-best score of 281* in the Sheffield Shield.

If selected, it would be a Victorian debut for Jack Prestwidge. The fast-bowling all-rounder relocated to Victoria from Queensland ahead of the 2020-21 season and has been playing for Melbourne Cricket Club in Victorian Premier Cricket.

Prestwidge has played 21 matches for Melbourne, taking 33 wickets at an average of 17.79 and scoring 309 runs, as well as 14 matches for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League.

Ruwantha Kellapotha made his Sheffield Shield debut for Victoria earlier in the week and would also make his Marsh Cup debut if selected.

After two matches in the Marsh One Day Cup, Victoria have one win and one loss.
