“My wife checked our email and called me to check my ticket and my phone because I had missed calls from The Lott,” he explained when we confirmed his win.
“I looked at the ticket and there they were, six numbers in one line!
“It’s very good, but it’s hard to let it sink in! You always think something like this would never happen to you.
“I have a lump in my throat right now and I can’t think properly!”
With the enormity of the news still settling in, the stunned winner said he and his wife would take their time before making any big decisions.
“Things are tough at the moment, so we feel incredibly fortunate,” he shared.
“We’re not going to do anything for a few weeks. We need to get over the shock first.
“I’m at retirement age but still working. This could finally give us some security and help us look towards retirement!”
