Victoria’s minerals exploration opportunities and new geoscience data were promoted at the Diggers and Dealers Forum in Kalgoorlie this week.
The Geological Survey of Victoria and Minerals Development Victoria presented information about the North Central Victorian Goldfields Ground Release, scheduled for late 2019 to a conglomerate of miners, explorers, financiers and mining services companies.
International interest in exploring central and northern Victoria has been sparked by the success of the state’s largest gold operation at Fosterville.
Attendees heard about Victoria’s recent minerals successes, the forthcoming ground release and the emphasis being placed on forming community relationships throughout the exploration process.
Victoria’s Minerals Resources Strategy, State of Discovery, the new Earth Resources website and information about the International Mining and Resources Conference being held in Melbourne in October were also well received.
