Victorian Government graduate program – Find work with purpose

Text on image says 'Work with PurposeThe Victorian Government graduate program is designed to provide graduates with the broad experiences, capabilities and support needed to establish meaningful public service careers through a comprehensive 12-month learning and development journey.

Round 1 program streams within the 2022 Victorian Government graduate program include:

  • Generalist: Generalist graduates have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in any field of study and the placements in the graduate program are varied.
  • Accounting and finance: Accounting and finance graduates have generally majored in either accounting or finance and undertake predominantly accounting and finance related work.
  • Economic consultancy: Economic consultancy graduates have generally majored in economics or econometrics and are provided with work which predominantly requires the use of economic analysis skills.
  • Data analytics: Data analytics graduates have generally majored or have experience in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, modelling or computer science and complete data analytics related work.

In most streams, you’ll work in 3 different departments over 12 months.

The program offers employment streams tailored to what you studied at university, and graduate pathways if you’re an applicant with a disability or identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Round 2 program streams will be announced mid-2021.
