Victorian man charged with outstanding warrant, NSW

A man has been charged with an outstanding warrant after arriving in NSW from Victoria yesterday.

About 4.30pm (Sunday 26 July 2020), officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command attended Sydney Domestic Terminal after reports a man had travelled to Sydney from Melbourne and could not provide his intended address details to NSW Health representatives.

Subsequent inquiries revealed the man was wanted on an outstanding revocation of parole warrant.

The 22-year-old man was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station where the warrant was executed for the offences of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (x2), police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly, and not give particulars to other driver.

Police will allege in court that the man was involved a police pursuit in Sydney’s south on Saturday 7 December 2019.

He was refused bail to appear in Central Local Court today (Monday 27 July 2020).
