Visions of Australia supporting arts exhibitions

The Australian Government is providing vital support to develop and tour high-quality and engaging exhibitions that reach audiences around Australia and increase the diversity of artistic and cultural material available to the regions.

The Visions program will support tours to venues in every state and territory, including 42 regional venues and 3 remote venues, which will help reignite the sector by showcasing this nation’s talent.

These exhibitions encompass a broad range of themes that span across development and touring projects. Examples of projects being funded include:

  • $129,211 to the South Australian Museum to develop the Trade Routes exhibition, which explores Aboriginal trading routes of communities in the Kimberley and the importance of pearl shells in those communities.
  • $251,234 to the Australian Design Centre to celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Journal of Australian Ceramics through works by 22 Australian contemporary ceramic artists.
  • $186,985 to the Australian Centre for the Moving Image to support the extended tour of the popular Cleverman exhibition, which showcases the Indigenous superhero television series.
