Wallet stolen from Cheltenham

Detectives from Glen Eira Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance after a wallet was stolen from a vehicle in Cheltenham.

Investigators have been told the wallet was stolen from a car parked in a private driveway on Davie Avenue between 6.30pm on 13 February and 9am on 14 February.

A man who used the credit card stolen from the car was captured on CCTV at stores in Cheltenham, Highett and Clayton between 8.15am and 9.30am on Thursday 14 February.

The man is perceived to be as Caucasian in appearance, of solid build with a short, well-groomed beard and short hair.

He was wearing a navy t-shirt with NY on the front, dark shorts, a navy jacket tied around his waist, a dark baseball hat and glasses.

Police have released images and CCTV of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
