Wandana Heights aggravated burglary

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary in which a woman was injured in Wandana Heights this morning.

Investigators have been told the woman woke to find two males in her Wandana Drive home just after 2am.

The pair tried to make off with the woman’s bag and car keys when she grabbed onto one of the offenders.

The 31-year-old woman was threatened, then cut to the shoulder and also received a cut to her hand during the confrontation.

The men, who were described as possibly in their late teens, fled the scene in the woman’s white Volvo.

The Wandana Heights woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
