Want to get involved in AMA advocacy for GPs in training?

Nominations are invited from AMA GP trainee members to represent their State and Territory as part of the AMA Council of Doctors in Training General Practice Trainee Advisory Committee (G-TAC)

General Practice Trainee Advisory Committee (G-TAC) provides a forum for GP trainee members to contribute to AMACDT advocacy and policy development at a Federal level specifically in relation to GP training matters.

The AMACDT is inviting AMA GP trainee members to nominate a representative to be part of G-TAC.

Nominated representatives should be able to demonstrate the following attributes in relation to GP training:

  • Previous advocacy, policy, and/or professional experience.

  • Capacity and availability to contribute to the G-TACs work program

  • Contribute to working groups;

  • Participate in meetings every 6-8 weeks, or as necessary called by Co-Chairs;

  • Make commentary on internal and external policies and statements as needed

The AMACDT is encouraging appointments that reflect the diversity of DiT membership including gender, geography, and stage of training.

Appointments will be for a 12-month period with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

The closing date for nominations is COB Monday 16 May 2022.
