AgForce is looking for enthusiastic and committed members to work together to develop solutions to the important challenges facing our industry.
We want to mobilise your experience, skills, and energy – and need your help!
Our Board has identified the cross-commodity policy issues of greatest priority and is setting up dedicated policy committees, coordination and working groups, to help make sure AgForce policy and advocacy are influential in advancing member and industry interests.
Committees and groups will form around the following issues:
- Biosecurity – managing pest, weed and disease risks to protect our industries
2. Trade and Market access – ensuring efficient access to fair and competitive markets
3. Land use competition and rights protection – strengthening rights to give confidence to sustain and grow businesses
4. Workforce – promoting labour supply, skilling, and safety
5. Vegetation management – seeking regulatory reform for better outcomes
6. Agribusiness and environmental sustainability – developing and using credible data to share our story and support producer decisions
7. Telecommunications – delivering needed infrastructure, data, access and support.
We recognise that our members and supporters are our greatest resource. If you have experience, skills and interest in any of the above areas and want to contribute as a group member or Chair, please complete an expression of interest using this online survey before midday Sunday 21 May 2023.
Knowing that your time is valuable, please be aware that committees and groups meet online for one to two hours every month or so (less frequently for coordination groups), and hold one face to face meeting per year.
