A man wanted on an outstanding warrant has been charged in Sydney’s west.
On Monday (Monday 17 August 2026), officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command commenced inquiries after a 35-year-old man escaped from Blacktown Hospital.
A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest.
Following extensive inquiries, just after 8pm yesterday (Saturday 22 August 2026), Detectives, with assistance from North West Metropolitan Region officers attached to the Domestic Violence High Risk Team, Region Enforcement Squad and the North and South West Operational Support Group operatives attended a home in Mays Hill.
Officers gained entry into the home and arrested the 35-year-old man inside a bedroom.
He was taken to Granville Police Station where the warrant was executed.
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 9 today (Sunday 23 August 2026).
