War medals and Mercedes Benz stolen from Shepparton

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after World War II medals and a car were stolen from a home earlier this year.

The victims had gone for a walk when their Corio Street home was ransacked between 4.30pm and 5.20pm on 22 August.

Among the items stolen were mobile phones, a white 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC250 station wagon (registration AXC 642) and World War II campaign medals which held significant sentimental importance.

The vehicle is still outstanding, as are all the other items stolen.

Investigators have released an image of a vehicle matching the appearance of the one stolen and are appealing for anyone with information that could assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au .
