Water main replacement: Hill & Tumut Streets
Please be advised that weather permitting, a full water main replacement has been programmed to be carried out in Hill and Tumut Streets, Cooma.
This essential work is expected to commence the 1 August 2022 and will carry through to 2 September 2022. Works will be carried out between 6am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
Weekend works will only be carried out if required after approved by Council’s CEO.
Local traffic movement will be permitted under site staff direction only.
Any required water shutdowns will be communicated to specific households both verbally and with a letter drop being delievered two days prior to being required.
Snowy Monaro Regional Council staff and contractors will require access onto private property only when changing over service lines.
No access onto private property will be required for weekend works.
Leed has been awarded this contract and will be issuing notices directly to individual residents prior to any works being conducted within private property.
Council apologises for any inconvenience this work may cause and asks residents and motorists to be mindful of relining crews and machinery that will be working on and around this project.
