We’re building new pocket parks and want your help

We’re building new pocket parks in South Yarra and Prahran and want your help.

Three new pocket parks are planned for:

  1. corner Balmoral and Perry streets, South Yarra
  2. 26 Osborne Street, South Yarra
  3. the land that extends from 55 Porter Street to 22A Grattan Street, Prahran.

At present, all three sites have some green space, but we want to transform them into inviting pocket parks the local community can enjoy.

To help us develop park designs we want to understand how you would like to use the space and what features you would like to see in the park.

Pocket parks are small green spaces where the local community can get out in the sunshine, enjoy nature, relax under a shady tree and socialise with friends and family.

The size and residential setting of the parks means they’re not suitable as active recreation spaces, but they sure pack a punch as a place to relax and enjoy your local neighbourhood.

Help us understand what’s important to you, so we can build a pocket park you will love.

How to have your say

By Sunday 29 October, visit connectstonnington.vic.gov.au/pocket-parks and let us know how you would like to use the space and what features you would like to see in the park design.

At the close of consultation your ideas will help us develop a draft park design that we will share for feedback before a final design is decided.
