Weapons Offences At Ipswich

Ipswich Detectives have seized three firearms, six kilograms of cannabis, 20 grams of cocaine, and $7,000 in cash as a result of targeted search warrants conducted across Ipswich yesterday, March 6.

Three people have been arrested and charged following search warrants in Redbank Plains, Karalee, and Rosevale as part of investigations into weapons offences.

A 50-year-old Karalee man has been charged with being in possession of a Category A (firearm), a Category M (crossbow) and a quantity of ammunition.

He is expected to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on March 27.

A 28-year-old Redbank Plains woman has been charged with one count each of possession of over schedule drug quantities of Cocaine and Cannabis, drug utensils, ammunition, property suspected of being proceeds of crime and possess things used in commission of a crime.

It will be alleged a hydroponic setup was being used to produce Cannabis at the Redbank Plains property which was also seized.

The 28-year-old woman is expected to appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court on March 27.

A 41-year-old Rosevale woman has been charged with one count each of possession of a Category A firearm, dangerous drugs, and drug utensils and will appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court on 3rd April 2024.
