During this Christmas and New Year period in the Hawkesbury, Hawkesbury City Council will provide Weekly Recycling Collections from Monday, 23 December 2019 to Friday, 3 January 2020.
Council aims to help residents with their additional recycling over the busy Christmas and New Year period by offering weekly recycling.
Please place your yellow lid recycling bin out on your scheduled bin collection day each week to receive the weekly recycling collections. Bin Collection Days remain the same even on public holidays.
Residents who have additional recycling can use the free drop off at the Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility at 1 The Driftway, South Windsor. See hours below.
Community members can also use the Return and Earn program to recycle extra bottles and cans. Bottles and cans may be redeemed for 10 cents through the Return and Earn program. To find your closest drop off point visit https://returnandearn.org.au
There are no changes to the garbage and garden organics bin collection services. Recycling Collections will return to normal fortnightly collections from Monday, 6 January 2020.The recycling bin collection calendar is available on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au
