Last week saw showers and thunderstorms return to parts of the country and this week will see widespread thunderstorms impact much of the country and some of them could be severe with large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
Today will see showers and thunderstorms develop across the NT, South Australia and Queensland with severe thunderstorms possible in South Australia. Elsewhere it will be warm and sunny in Victoria and New South Wales while cooler conditions will continue in WA.
Monday will see a cold front impact Tasmania and Victoria with strong winds and showers, and thunderstorms will also impact much of central and south-eastern Australia with severe thunderstorms possible. Otherwise, it will be dry, warm and sunny for the rest of the country.
Showers, rain and thunderstorms will continue across the NT, New South Wales and southern Queensland on Tuesday with much cooler and drier conditions developing across southern Australia. Elsewhere, showers will continue along the Queensland coast, and in Tasmania and Victoria.
High pressure brings cooler and drier conditions to southern Australia with a slight frost risk on Wednesday, while showers and thunderstorms continue across central Australia, the NT and south-east Queensland and north-east New South Wales, with dry conditions elsewhere.
A cold front will bring showers and gusty winds to south-western WA on Thursday, while showers and thunderstorms will also develop through inland parts of Queensland and New South Wales, and also about our tropical north. While dry, mild conditions will continue in the south-east.
Friday will see showers and thunderstorms across much of central and eastern Australia with below average temperatures, while it will be dry and warm across WA. Showers and thunderstorms will also continue across much of eastern Australia into the weekend.
