Perth is set to host a premium boxing event this May, with three World Title fights, including the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight World Title, secured in an Australian-exclusive.

Thousands of out-of-state visitors and Western Australians are expected to flock to RAC Arena on 12 May 2024 to see the world’s best boxers take part in this blockbuster event, which will also be broadcast across the globe to over 100 countries.

The main event will see Australian George Kambosos Jr. and Ukrainian Vasiliy Lomachenko fight for the IBF Lightweight World Title, with two additional world title fights to be announced in the coming weeks.

A range of ancillary activities, including a public open training session and other community program elements, will build the excitement in Perth in the leadup to the event.

This announcement aligns with the Cook Government’s vision for the State to become the fastest growing events destination in the South East Asian region.

The world title fights add to the growing list of Australian-exclusive blockbuster events the WA Government has recently secured and hosted, including the two Coldplay concerts late last year and WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth, coming up on Saturday, 24 February at Optus Stadium.

Corporate and travel packages are available for purchase now, and general public tickets will go on sale from 10am on Friday, 2 February.
