Western Australians invited free Dementia Care Navigator sessions

Navigating the dementia and aged care system alone can be complex, which is why Dementia Australia is offering free sessions to help people living with dementia, their families and carers, connect to the right services.

The Dementia Care Navigator Trial, delivered by Dementia Australia, aims to provide tailored information for people living with dementia, their family members and carers.

The services in this trial are designed to provide information and connect clients with appropriate support and services pre and post diagnosis, including referrals, advice, and resources to support a better quality of life for people over the age of 65 living with all forms of dementia, their families and carers.

Participation in these sessions is free.

Upcoming sessions for the month of October include:

  • Greenfields – On Wednesday 9 October from 10am-11am the Dementia Care Navigator Session will be held at the Bortolo Pavilion, 1 Bortolo Dr, Greenfields.
  • Rockingham – On Wednesday 23 October from 10am-11am the Dementia Care Navigator Session will be held at the Gary Holland Centre, 19 Kent St, Rockingham, WA.
  • Forrestfield – Wednesday 30 October from 10.30am-11.30am the Dementia Care Navigator Session will be held at the Woodlupine Community Centre, 88 Hale Rd, Forrestfield, WA.
