  • Business customers could earn up to 500,000 Qantas Points through a new business lending offer with Qantas Business Rewards

Westpac is expanding its partnership with Qantas Loyalty with new and improved offers designed to help customers enjoy greater value from their banking.

Under the partnership, Westpac has extended its Altitude Qantas Black credit card offer, enabling eligible new cardholders to earn up to 150,000 bonus Qantas Points and, for the first time, receive 50 Status Credits, which are traditionally earned through flying1.

Westpac Chief Executive, Consumer, Carolyn McCann said the credit card offer comes at a time when rewards programs are top of mind for many Australians.

“We know people place a high value on rewards programs, and we’re pleased to extend and build on our popular sign-up offer, supporting customers who may be looking to earn points,” McCann said.

“We really value our Qantas customers, and with changes to credit card rewards across the market in recent weeks, we see an opportunity to welcome new customers to Westpac by providing strong value through both bonus Qantas Points and Status Credits.”

Qantas Loyalty and Customer CEO Andrew Glance said Australians’ appetite for earning Qantas Points has never been stronger, with members redeeming more than 10 million rewards in the last year.

“Points-earning credit cards remain the fastest way for members to build their points balance, and we’ve seen double-digit growth in new Qantas cards issued this quarter compared to the same period last year,” Glance said.

“As the broader rewards landscape shifts, the Westpac Altitude Qantas Black card offers fantastic value for members looking to fast-track their frequent flyer status or book a dream trip with their points.”

Points earned on the Westpac Altitude Qantas Black credit card can be redeemed on flights to more than 1,300 destinations with Qantas and 30 partner airlines, as well as flight upgrades and hotel stays.

Status Credits allow frequent flyers to move up through the airline’s Status tiers, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One, gaining access to more than 650 Qantas and partner lounges worldwide and other premium travel benefits.

Coming soon for business customers

Westpac’s eligible business customers could also earn up to 500,000 points with Qantas Business Rewards, receiving 1 Qantas Point for every $2 borrowed when they take out a new Westpac Business Loan between 13 October 2026 and 12 April 2027. For an eligible business loan of $350,000, that could mean earning 175,000 Qantas Points2.

Westpac Chief Executive, Business & Wealth, Paul Fowler said rewards programs continue to resonate strongly with customers.

“Many business owners already use rewards programs in their personal lives, but opportunities to earn rewards through their business banking relationship have been more limited. The new offer gives customers another way to generate value from investments they may already be planning to make in their business,” Fowler said.

“This offer is another way we’re delivering more value to our business customers. Whether they’re investing in growth, managing cash flow or taking advantage of new opportunities, we’re focused on helping businesses get more from their banking relationship.”

Qantas Business Rewards is a loyalty program that rewards Australian small and medium businesses, with more than 700,000 members. Members can save on flights and earn Qantas Points on their everyday business expenses with more than 50 partners, from flights to fuel, energy bills to credit card spend.
