Wet Weather - Impacted roads - Update at 5pm Monday 24 October

Ballina Shire Council staff have continued to check the road network and signpost flooded roads today following the weekend’s heavy rainfall.

Ross Lane remains closed and it may be some days before it is reopened. Traffic control is in place. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route and avoid the area.

Not all urban roads can be signposted – so please be aware of changing conditions in your local area. See below for the latest road cautions and closures. Visit livetraffic.com for a full list of roads and their status.

Waste collection times may vary in rural areas as drivers use alternate routes to avoid flooded roads.

The Ballina Byron Gateway Airport is open. Please contact airlines for flight information. Flights may be delayed to due weather impacts at other airports.

Burns Point Ferry is not operating. The ferry closed today for scheduled maintenance today and should return to service Monday 14 November 2022. Please use the alternate route of the Pacific Highway and River Drive.
