The green-lidded Food and Garden Organics bin accepts a range of household food waste items that were previously placed in the general waste bin.
Examples include:
- Fruit and vegetable scraps
- Meat and bones
- Dairy products
- Seafood shells
- Bread, rice and pasta
- Coffee grounds and eggshells
Correct use of the organics bin helps divert valuable material from landfill and supports the success of the new service.
