What’s your top priority for City of Whittlesea?

Is local employment your top priority? Or perhaps parks, playgrounds and open space? Or maybe it’s sustainability that gets your number one vote.

We’re asking people who live and work in the City of Whittlesea for their views on what Council should prioritise in planning for next year’s Budget and Community Plan Action Plan.

You can fill out a survey on Council’s website and allocate points according to your top priority. You can also talk to us in person at pop-up sites in your neighbourhood over the next month. We’re keen to know the different perspectives people have in the various suburbs of the City of Whittlesea.

Administrator Peita Duncan said Council wanted to hear from the community well before it started its Budget and Community Plan Action Plan process.

“We want to have clear insight into local priorities to help us shape the conversation around what should be our priorities in 2023/24,” she said.

“We know our community outlined their key priorities back when we developed the Community Plan 2021-2025 but much has changed since then,” she said.

“We want to know that we’re on track and that we are giving our community the chance to help shape their local area.”

Ms Duncan said the insights gleaned would inform the development of the 2023/24 Budget, the 2023/24 Community Plan Action Plan as well as other key plans and strategies Council is developing.
