Why does Labor keep lying about untenantable houses?

Nic Street, Minister for Housing and Construction

Ella Haddad must stop lying to Tasmanians that 215 social houses in Tasmania “remain untenantable” by repeating a point-in-time data report from more than a year ago.

Minister for Housing and Construction, Nic Street, has said that this is typical of Labor as they seek to peddle lies time and time again.

“Today’s Housing Dashboard report was an incredibly positive indicator that shows Tasmanians are being assisted into accommodation when they need it most,” Minister Street said.

“However, there is an unrelenting campaign to find something negative in every piece of positive news.

“Ms Haddad’s assertion that 215 social houses remain untenantable has already been proven to be completely false.

“Ms Haddad might think it’s okay for her reckless spindoctors to keep including this ludicrous statement in every one of her media releases – but Tasmanians don’t like being lied to like this.

“Ms Haddad should immediately issue a correcting media release, and state the facts, or this will confirm that Labor’s Trumpian spindoctors have just given up on the facts altogether.

“What else is Labor lying about?”
