On 31 August, Bayside Council celebrated the participants of the Book Week 2026 Art Competition at a special awards ceremony.
Students from 17 local primary schools across Bayside took part in the annual competition, showcasing their creativity and imagination during Children’s Book Week 2026. This year’s theme, Book an Adventure, inspired students to bring their favourite stories and adventures to life through art.
Students competed in two categories: Kindergarten to Year 2 and Years 3 to 6. More than 1,300 entries were received, with 60 winners and place-getters recognised for their outstanding work.
The competition highlighted the creativity, artistic talent and storytelling skills of young people across Bayside.
