Winthrop aggravated home burlgary

Fremantle Detectives are investigating an aggravated home burglary that occurred on Freedman Way, Winthrop today Monday 21 October 2019.

Around 4.50am two men forced entry into the home, before stealing car keys and a wallet. The victim, a man in his 50’s went outside to find two men inside his vehicle in the driveway. The victim tried to open the driver’s door, however the man who was sitting in the driver’s seat punched the victim to the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The man got out of the vehicle and kicked the victim whilst on the ground. The second man then joined in and also kicked the victim whilst he was on the ground.

Both men got back into the victim’s vehicle and drove off towards Leach Highway.

The vehicle is described as a grey 2011 Lexus IS250 sedan, registration 1DUA191.

As a result of the assault, the victim received cuts and bruising to his face and grazes to his arm.

The first male is described as: Dark skinned, around 170cm tall, thin build wearing a black beanie and dark clothing.

The second male is described as: Dark skinned, around 165cm tall and a thin build.

Detectives are asking anyone who sees the stolen vehicle to contact police immediately on 131444.
