Woman arrested by Arson Squad for Perth fire

Arson Squad detectives have charged a woman in relation to their investigation into a fire outside a building in Perth on Thursday, 30 September 2021.

It is alleged around 1am, the woman ignited a wheelie bin she had put in the revolving doors of the building located on St. George’s Terrace before fleeing on foot.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called by a tenant and they extinguished the fire.

The fire caused significant damage to the glass revolving door and the damage is estimated at $35,000.

The 31-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with Criminal Damage by Fire and she has been remanded in custody until her next court appearance scheduled for the Perth Magistrates Court on 15 October 2021.
