Woman assaulted at Ingle Farm, South Australia

Police are investigating a serious assault at Ingle Farm last night that has left a woman in hospital.

Witnesses flagged down a passing patrol near a bus stop on Montague Road, Ingle Farm, near the Ingle Farm Shopping Centre about 10.30pm on Thursday 12 May to help a woman who had been assaulted.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspect running away, last seen heading north across Montague Road. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

The 35-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with multiple lacerations. Her condition is believed to be critical but stable.

Eastern District CIB detectives are investigating.

The investigation is in its early stages, but this is not believed to be a random incident.
