A female driver has blown almost five times the limit following a collision in Strathmore yesterday afternoon.
A black Mercedes collided with another vehicle on the Tullamarine Freeway, between Moreland Road and Albion Street, about 4pm.
The Mercedes allegedly failed to stop and attempted to flee the scene.
The vehicle was intercepted on the side of the Tullamarine Freeway, where the female driver blew a positive preliminary breath test.
The 24-year-old woman was taken to a police station where she returned an alleged evidentiary reading of .249.
She was issued an immediate driving ban and is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
