Woman charged after allegedly making offensive phone call – Operation Shelter

A woman has been charged after allegedly making an offiensive phone call to an Eastern Suburbs business operator.

Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command initiated inquiries under Operation Shelter after a 49-year-old woman reported receiving a message on her phone Sunday morning (21 December 2025), that caused her immediate fear.

Following inquiries, a 26-year-old woman was arrested at a home in Meadowbank about 4.30pm yesterday (Monday 22 December 2025).

She was taken to Gladesville Police Station where she has now been charged with use carriage service to menace/harass/offend.

She’s been granted strict conditional bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on 15 January 2026.
