A woman has faced court after methylamphetamine, cannabis and prohibited weapons were seized in the state’s central west.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended a home on Spring Street, Orange, about 7pm Wednesday 20 May 2026, following a report of a concern for welfare.
Police arrived and found a woman acting erratically outside the address.
During a search of the woman, officers allegedly located and seized 2.2 grams of methylamphetamine, 13.7 grams of cannabis, four pregabalin tablets and unlabelled capsules, a gas-powered BB handgun and ammunition, a taser, an extendable baton, knuckle dusters, $245 suspected counterfeit currency, four mobile phones, a large quantity of jewellery believed to be stolen, and multiple resealable bags.
The woman – aged 28 – was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station where she was charged with 10 offences,
- Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit (three counts),
- Possess prohibited drug (two counts),
- Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm,
- Possess ammunition w/o holding licence/permit/authority,
- Possession of equipment for administering prohibited drugs,
- Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, and
- Goods in personal custody suspected being stolen (not motor vehicle).
She was refused bail and faced Bail Division Court 4 yesterday (Thursday 21 May 2026), where she was formally refused bail to face Orange Local Court on Thursday 28 May 2026.
