A woman will face court following alleged stealing offences across Sydney’s North Shore over the past months.
Since March 2026, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command commenced an investigation into multiple shoplifting offences across the Sydney’s north shore area.
Inquiries established at least six supermarkets and a department store in Neutral Bay, Chatswood, Crows Nest, St Leonards, and North Sydney areas were targeted on 13 occasions between March 2026 and July 2026 where a woman stole a cloth, toothpastes, and medications.
Initial inquiries have led police to allege the incidents are linked with the total estimate value of stolen items at more than $11,000.
Following further inquiries, about 9.50am today (Sunday 26 July 2026), police arrested a 46-year-old woman near a supermarket on Christie Street, St Leonards.
During the arrest, police located and seized 68 toothpastes, 16 bottles of drink and 13 pain relief gel products from a shopping trolley.
She was taken to Chatswood Police Station where she was charged with 13 counts of shoplifting value less than or equal to $2000, and breach of bail.
She was refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court tomorrow (Monday 27 July 2026).
