Woman charged over alleged stabbing in Terrigal

A woman has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man on the Central Coast early this morning.

Just before 2am (Tuesday 1 January 2019), a 25-year-old man was on the footpath of Kurrawybe Avenue, Terrigal, when he became involved in a verbal argument with another man.

It’s alleged nearby security officers and an unknown woman intervened, before the 25-year-old man sustained a small laceration to his neck.

The woman left the scene on foot.

The injured man was taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, just after 2.30am, a 25-year-old woman was arrested at a home in Shannon Parade, Berkeley Vale.

She was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with reckless wounding.

The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 22 January 2019.
