Woman dies after being hit by a bus, NSW

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a bus in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs today.

About 10.15am (Wednesday 16 December 2020), emergency services were called to Grafton Street, Bondi Junction, following reports a woman, aged in her 20s, had been hit by a bus.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, she died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established by officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command and will be examined by the Crash Investigation Unit.

No further information is available at this time.

Grafton Street is closed between Newland and Grosvenor streets in both directions. Buses are running normal routes

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
