Woman dies after being hit by bus in Tempe

A woman has died after she was hit by a bus at Tempe overnight.

Emergency services were called to Gannon Street about 8.30pm (Thursday 24 March 2022), responding to reports a pedestrian had been struck by a bus.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended but the woman died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.

The male driver of the bus was not injured and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
