Woman dies after being hit by car at Camperdown, NSW

An investigation is underway following the death of a pedestrian at Camperdown.

About 1.30pm today (Saturday 4 July 2020), emergency services were called to Grose Street after two women were hit by a car.

Both women – aged 62 and 85 – were taken to nearby Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where the younger woman died.

The 85-year-old is being treated for head injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, aged 69, was arrested and taken to hospital for mandatory tests.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.

They’re appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
