Woman dies after motocross crash at Wollongong

A woman has died after a crash at a racing complex near Wollongong yesterday.

About 3pm (Saturday 22 April 2023), emergency services were called to a motorcycle club on Henry Graham Drive at Kembla Heights, following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Wollongong Police District were told two motocross riders had collided.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 50-year-old woman at the scene; however, she could not be revived.

A 23-year-old man was also treated at the scene, before being taken to hospital suffering a shoulder injury.

Officers, with assistance from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, established a crime scene which was forensically examined.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
