A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash on Sydney’s Northern Beaches yesterday.
About 4.45pm (Friday 9 December 2022), emergency services were called to Barrenjoey Road, Mona Vale, following reports a car had collided with a telegraph pole.
On arrival, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command found the driver, an 80-year-old woman, and her passenger, an 83-year-old man, suffering serious injuries.
They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital, where the woman later died as a result of her injuries.
The man remains in a critical but stable condition.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
