Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Kennington last month.
It is understood a pedestrian was struck by a car on Sternberg Street, near the intersection with Ligar Street, about 6.15pm on 31 July.
The pedestrian, a 69-year-old Bendigo woman, was airlifted to hospital where she later died.
The driver of the car, a 47-year-old Axedale woman, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
