Woman in serious condition following car and truck crash – Mount Victoria

Emergency services are on scene after a car and semi-trailer collided in Sydney’s Blue Mountains.

About 11.30am today (Thursday 13 August 2026), emergency services were called following reports of a crash on the Darling Causeway, Mount Victoria.

Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command, attended and found a sedan and semi-trailer had collided head-on, trapping the sedan driver.

The driver of the sedan – a 25-year-old woman – was trapped for a short time before being extricated from the vehicle in a serious condition.

She was treated at the scene before being flown to Westmead Hospital.

The front passenger of the sedan – a 22-year-old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.

The truck driver – a man aged in his 30s – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

The road is closed between the Great Western Highway and Bells Line of Road and Chifley Road with diversions in place.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Investigations are continuing.
