Woman killed in two-car crash at Mendooran, NSW

A woman has died following a two-car crash in the state’s Orana region.

About 2.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 26 November 2019), officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash approximately 15 kilometres south east of Mendooran on the Castlereagh Highway.

On arrival, emergency services found a Honda CRV and a Mazda 3 Hatchback had crashed head-on and come to rest on the northern road edge.

A woman, aged 24, was trapped by confinement in the front passenger seat of a Mazda 3 Hatchback.

The woman was taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment, however died.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Dubbo Hospital for observation.

Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District, Central West and Metro Crash Investigation Unit attended and examined the crime scene.

Investigations continue.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
