Police are investigating following the discovery of a woman’s body in Wickliffe yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a property on Chatsworth-Wickcliffe Road, near Karmala Lane, after a resident located the body beside a burnt-out vehicle about 3pm.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, police believe it to be that of missing Timboon woman, Rosie.
Rosie’s Maltese Shih Tzu was found safe and well nearby.
The 84-year-old was last seen on 10 June, with police and Rosie’s family undertaking a significant search of the local area since that time.
The exact circumstances regarding the death are yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
