Wonderful Day Of Connection At Lifetime Of Skills Expo

Held at Brighton Town Hall in support of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the Lifetime of Skills: Learn, Share, Connect Expo brought together more than 100 community members to share stories, skills, experiences and plenty of laughter. The event celebrated the strengths, talents and contributions of older people while helping to challenge ageism, strengthen community connections and reduce loneliness and social isolation.

From singing, croquet and art to costumes and make-up, origami, mahjong, knitting, quilting and more, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was wonderful to see people learning new skills, making connections and discovering local groups and activities across Bayside.

A massive thank you to all of the community groups, volunteers and participants who helped make the day such a success. Seeing people connect, learn and laugh together was truly delightful.
